Email Mrs. Jensen!
Email me anytime during the week!
Currently on the Calendar:
- This is a normal week with Friday planning day.
- Our book order books arrived this week! We will send home a new "Summer Reading" one on Friday; you will be able to order online again this time... it was so cool to be able to do that with this most recent order! Remember that these book orders are just optional for if you want to build your home library. There are always books as low as 95 cents, and every book you order helps us get free books for the classroom, too!

Thank-you's:
Thank you Mrs. Vega for helping us file handwriting pages, count reading minutes, AND for getting all of Mrs. Jensen's theme file folders in order! Thank you Ms. Armstrong for helping us with our spelling tests!
Things to Remember:
Record your reading minutes on the "Paws for Reading" page instead of in the actual planner. They are checked every Friday. You must have at least 5 paws marked off, for a total of 100 minutes per week by Friday. This way, you can read on the weekend if you need to make up a day, PLUS you can get credit for any extra minutes you read (i.e. if you read 40 minutes in a day, you can mark off 2!). Parent or guardian puts their initials one time on the "paws" page after you have read with them for 20 minutes each weekday. If your child ever forgets to bring their planner home, just record the reading minutes on a regular piece of paper and send it to school on Friday, OR you can always send me an email! I check it every day.
Bring your PLANNER & FOLDER everyday. There are no more planners in the office, so you can no longer purchase a replacement if you lose yours. You will need to bring some other kind of notebook to use instead. Any kind of folder will do to replace a lost "Pleasant Green" folder.
- Math homework will be sent home Monday through Thursday. Remember that if you do not bring back your homework for 3 days in a row, you have chosen to have a Stop & Go! You will learn GREAT responsibility this year by returning your homework each day.
Secret Question of the Week:
What is an example of an ordinal number? (See underneath "We will study" for a hint.)
